Our Offerings

Want to get writing but need a little inspiration? Every Thursday night, 7-9pm at Creative Arts Workshop in Nyack, we offer facilitated time, space, prompts, and friendly peer pressure to get some writing done, in any genre, for all levels. See our Writing Circle page for more info and registration link.

Know what you want to write but need designated time and space? The first Tuesday of every month, 7-9pm at Prohibition River’s Rose Hall (upstairs), we offer unfacilitated writing time in community. Come grab a drink and/or bite to eat from Prohibition River and sit in the quiet, beautiful space that is Rose Hall, where there is ample table space and ambience for your writing endeavors.

Want to expand your writing toolbelt, develop your drafts, and find ways forward in your journey as a writer, but need support? Workshops and Accountability Groups are where all this (and more) happen. We offer: peer-led feedback workshops for fiction and poetry; long-form prose accountability groups; instructor-led craft and feedback workshops for poetry and memoir; and occasional one-off workshops. See our Workshops page for full details.

Ready to bring your work into the public sphere? Looking to get inspired by the work of others? Readings are how we participate in a greater community as literary citizens. Our reading series features new and established authors from the local community, greater NYC area and beyond. To date, we have welcomed Marie Howe, Dawn Lundy Martin, Jill Bialosky, Andres Cerpa, Megan Pinto, Jennifer Franklin, James Hoch, Emily Lee Luan, and Isabella DeSendi to read in Nyack. All readings are free and open to the public, and offer opportunities for community participation. We also collaborate with Big Red Books on semi-regular How to Read a Book (of Poetry) read-aloud sessions featuring award-winning books. See our Readings page to learn more.

All Ways Writing is a community of writers supporting writers. Our mission is to support local literary artists and inspire engagement with the written word through writing circles, readings, workshops, and other community events in Nyack, New York.
